Part A: Grammar, Total Marks: 60

There will be 11 topics in the grammar section of the upcoming 2025 HSC examination, containing 60 marks. The topics are:

  1. Preposition: 5 marks
  2. Gap Filling Activities with Clues: 5 Marks
  3. Completing Sentences: 10 Marks
  4. Use of Verbs: 7 Marks
  5. Narration/Speech: 7 Marks
  6. Use of Modifiers: 5 Marks
  7. Use of Sentence Connectors: 7 Marks
  8. Use of Synonym and Antonym: 7 Marks
  9. Punctuation: 7 Marks

Part B: Composition, Total Marks: 40

 

Question Number 10: Writing Formal Letter or Writing Email (10 Marks)

There will be 1 question from this section, and it will have not any options.

Formal Letter:

  1. For setting up a canteen/library/computer lab/English language club/debating club/hostel
  2. For permission to go on a picnic/study tour.
  3. For TC/ Transfer Certificate/Testimonial
  4. For opening a relief camp for the flood affected people
  5. For repairing a damaged bridge/road/setting up a deep tubewell
  6. Write an application to the principal not to allow cell phone in the classroom
  7. For increasing the books in the college library

Email Writing:

  1. Replying to an email that asked information about the July Revolution in Bangladesh.
  2. For cancelling an air ticket.
  3. Asking for detailed information about the English language course.

Question Number 11: Writing Description/Listing Paragraph (15 Marks)

There will be 1 question from this section, and it will have not any options. You have to write the paragraph using 200 words.
